Share an unparalleled, fascinating and unique experience by visiting Gwen at her Wallaby Park known as EnkleDooVery Korna, situated on Bathgates Road. Gwen has been hand raising orphaned baby wallabies since 1977 and now has extended this area with large wallaby enclosures. Behind these gates visitors can wander at their leisure to view the wallabies in their separate enclosures. Enjoy wandering amongst bachelor and family groups and photographing at close range. These bachelor wallabies like to meet people and be hand fed; guests are provided with a handful of pellets to share this experience. In the middle of the Wallaby Wander area, a large pond is home to a range of wildlife. Inhabitants of this area include Sebastopol, Geese, Ducks, Fantail Pigeons and Peacocks. Also nestled away on her property are bantams, possums, and some rare breed Finlayson sheep. Meet Muffin the miniature pony, who thrives on lots of hugs and cuddles from visitors. From October through to March/April experience the joy of cuddling Gwen's special hand-raised orphaned pouch baby wallabies.
You can also experience seeing some unique memorabilia of family treasures of times past. Experience how a Wallaby Trapper lived in our authentic hut, set indoors bursting with tall stories of a time and place long ago. Open 20th September to Queens Birthday 10 June, 10am to 5pm daily. Open by appointment only in off-season, weather dependent. No EFTPOS or Visa facilities. Group bookings welcome. Off-street parking available. Host: Gwen Dempster-Schouten.
