Luxury accommodation for discerning guests
Pamper yourselves in this wonderful boutique accommodation with king bedded luxury bedroom and ensuite bathroom. Wander through to the tastefully decorated living room with leather sofas and kitchenette area, perfect for preparing simple meals, or sit out on one of the 2 decks overlooking the mountains and estuary. Watch the sea birds and waders and the ebb and fall of the tide. You will leave us feeling totally relaxed and with memories of a wonderful time here at Kina.

Kina - our secret hideaway
Almyra at Kina is surrounded by water, mountains and a natural coastal beach where you can walk for miles in total solitude and seclusion. There is plenty of birdlife; fishing and a boat ramp within a couple of minutes drive. We have space to park a small trailer boat on the property if required. From our property, you can walk around the peninsula at low tide, or walk to the beach - a minute away.

The apartment has its own driveway and parking area, away from the main house. The apartment is fully self contained with private decks where you can sit and read your book, or just admire the everchanging views. Guests are welcome to use our swimming pool (in season) and to wander around our waterside garden of 3 acres.

There are many award winning local restaurants to choose from. In Mapua try the newly refurbished Wharfside restaurant. Closer to Kina is the funky Jester House Cafe . If you want to go further afieldboth Nelson & Richmond have award winning restaurants. All restaurants come with our personal recommendation and can be booked through us.

Wineries and Crafts
A visit to our region wouldnt be complete without a tour of the local wineries and craft studios. Several worldclass wineries are within a few minutes drive of Almyra at Kina and offer wine tasting and the opportunity to purchase local wines. There are many craftspeople around who would be delighted to show you their studios - painters and artists; potters; woodturners to name but a few.

Our National Parks
A visit to Almyra at Kina wouldnt be complete without a visit to Abel Tasman National Park. A short drive to Kaiteriteri or Marahau (the gateway to Abel Tasman National Park) enables you to either walk into the Park from Marahau or to catch one of the water taxis, that will drop you off at one of the splendid beaches or anchorages within the Park, from where you can walk for miles or just sit awhile, before being picked up again! We are blessed with having 3 National Parks in our region - Abel Tasman, Kahurangi and Nelson Lakes - all within easy drive of Almyra at Kina.
