“The Ambers" is a charming old-style European country house set in 14 park-like acres with formal rose gardens, fountains, mature trees and olive grove. It is situated on the main road north, just 20 minutes north of Auckland. We have 4 double bedrooms, 3 with their own ensuites. We look forward to welcoming you in our home. Gerard and Diane were exceptional hosts. We arrived with our three children aged 8, 6 and 3. Our hosts had a natural ease with the children and my husband and I enjoyed their stimulating company over a wine (or whatever takes your fancy) at the end of the evening, once the children were in bed. Our morning breakfast was a real treat; every request taken care of. It was presented beautifully in the dining room of an absolutely stunning house. Gerard and Diane went out of their way to help us with any tourist information or dining needs. We felt pampered and it was hard to leave. We will definitely be returning to 'The Ambers'.
