The house is basic but adequate. The position of house makes up for any lack in luxury in the Villa.

Unbelievable views from a spacious deck- had 30 whanau over post wedding for bbq lunch on deck was perfect. Plenty of seating, tables, deck, rails and grass to sit on. Master bedroom views that sold us the property surpass the pictures- a stunning view that could be from any hut on any tropical island! Snorkel and kayak use, good 2nd bed used for cot room and good areas for makeshift play pen for the centre lounge and against the main bed window using sunbeds on deck. Good kitchen must haves like tinfoil, mozzie plugs, handy towel and bathroom toiletries a nice touch as was bananas on arrival! Geoff was an accommodating host and any questions asked were always promptly sorted- we forgot to check about microwave as couldn't get it heating but am sure it would have been sorted if we asked. The main islander stay is possibly one of the priciest beachfront properties for Rarotonga but as mentioned earlier it is probably the best location for views with a perfect deck that match and even beat any million dollar mansion. It was worth the beautiful memories of possibly a once in a lifetime opportunity, would recommend to anyone with likeminded views and needs.

There was a communication breakdown on when we were arriving so we had to phone to get the owner to the property with the key but we only had to wait a short while. Otherwise we loved our stay and will definitely return to the same property again in the future. :)

WOW, what a fantastic place to stay! Our family of 4 stayed here for 15 nights and found the house to be more than adequate with plenty of room and all the facilities and equipment we needed. The beds were very comfy, use of Kayaks and loads of outdoor furniture. The house itself is simple and not super flash but the position of the house on the beach is literally the best on the island. The lagoon out the front is crystal clear with loads to see and safe for kids (though you should always wear reef shoes anywhere in Rarotonga). Rarotonga is one of our favorite holiday destinations simply because it is so laid back and running on ‘island time’ helps us to relax and unwind. We have stayed at resorts in the past but after hiring this house we wouldn't do it any other way. We had a few small requests and Geoff was on to them quickly and without hassle – the owners are great to deal with and nothing was a problem. We also highly recommend Vaima Bar & Restaurant and Bamboo Jacks for amazing food and clean premises.
We will definitely be back to Main Islander!

My partner and I were very satisfied with Main Islander Villa. The view from the main bedroom was absolutely stunning and to our surprise, there was a new deck built right over the sand which was great for tanning and sitting around. The property had everything we desired, Geoff and Tia were wonderful hosts that take a lot of pride in their property and that showed. The location is great as it is close to Wigmore's Supermarket and the beach in front is good for snorkeling and very private.

My wife and myself,along with my sixteen year old daughter and adult son had a wonderful stay in this traditional island home . I found it as represented on the internet site. Spacious and roomy. Location is fabulous, the beach is all to yourself! A BBQ set would be great at the patio (next door has). Screens on windows/doors would be great to keep out the mosquito as well as to enjoy the nice sea breeze.

Beach one of the best on the Island!! Would go back tomorrow - but will have to wait until next year:( Only thing missing was maybe some music. Radio channel not picked up on that side of the island so would suggest you take your own CDs etc. Also if you want to watch TV at night suggest you take some DVDs - otherwise everything as stated on line.

We loved the house and great location right on the beach. The property is spacious and has everything you need for cooking Geoff and Tia are wonderful hosts and we would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to rent a house in Raro. The location (Vaimaanga) can't be beat.

Had some electrical problems that got fixed. Cleaning lady didn't come for a week for some reason, then came every other day. Washing machine doesn't function well. The accommodation is 3-4 star, but the location is 5+ and we were very happy with it

The location could not hae been better. The TV didnot work properly, all fuzzy but not sureif this is normal for Raotonga. Anything we suggested that was not there, certainly was remedied on our suggestion. Just disappointed the BBQ was not in situ on arrival but we did not know you had to ask for it. We loved it and would come again and certainly recommend it to others.

I have been to Rarotonga a few times before and stayed in the resorts but this time we decidedto try something different and it was the best decision we made. The property was absolutely amazing and the service we received was friendly and efficient. My partner and I have now agreed that Rarotonga is our 'easy get away' each year but only if we can stay at Main Islander!!!

The owners are wonderful and very helpful and quick to respond. The house would be better with some screens, but many local houses don't have them. Don't know why. The kitchen could be slightly better stocked but everything was pretty much as described. The locale is perfect and we had a great time.
