Si nos gustaIf visitors love Nature:
Echo y Ansó Valley: From Berdun you can get the road to Anso Valley. The road is narrow, but has amazing views, especially at the “Foz de Binies”. Anso and Echo are two little villages that maintain the Aragonese architecture. Both towns have museums and beautiful churches.
Selva de Oza: It is an amazing park! Take the road from Echo to Siresa to get there. There are many hiking trails that are marked. Some notable destinations are: Ibón de Acherito y de Estanes, Aguas Tuertas, and La senda de Camille. There are also walking trails called “Vias Ferratas” which are old train routes. There is a Museum called “Centro de Interpretación del Megalitismo” at the entrance of the park. The purpose of this center is to help visitors understand the megalitism. Also at the entrance of the park, in the Boca del Infierno, there is an old roman road that can be walked. Pilgrims that go to Santiago used this route a long time ago.
Lizara: Visitors will enjoy the most abrupt and wild views in the Pirenees. Starting at Jasa and diving to Aragüés. Both towns also maintain the mountain Aragonese architecture. The road goes through the amazing Osia River Valley.
If visitors are looking for Aragonese Pirenees’architecture, here are some Romanic buildings:
Siresa monastery: Dated before the IX century.
“Houses route” in Javierregay. All houses maintain the pre-Pirenees architecture. Pay close attention to beautiful the tiles in the “Count Palace” (Palacio del Conde).
All towns are famous for their chimneys with “Espantabrujas”. This is a very typical architectural finishing feature of the Aragonese chimney houses. Towns in the “Echo Valley” are known by this, especially Javierregay. There are also many different legends and popular tales created by the people from this area.
Monasterio de San Juan de la Peña: It is only 20km away from Javierregay. It was the center of the Aragon kingdom. There is a leisure park with a playground and tables. Starting in the monastery, there are some easy and short trails. One of these trails takes visitors to the “Balcon del Pirineo”. It is a viewing point; from here you can enjoy the incredible Pyrenees, being able to locate all the high peak mountains.
If visitors prefer sports, this area is perfect to do so. Javierregay is located by mountains, a damb, an aerodrome, and the Subordan River. There are many specialized companies that offer certified monitors.
