Country in the City!
Come visit Toronto, but relax like you're staying in the country! We live on a dead-end street, surrounded by parks and historical cemeteries, Cabbagetown is a historical victorian village, protected for it's unique history. It's like staying in a live museum!
Despite the 'out of the way place' feel, we're just 15 minutes walk from downtown! Shopping, food, restaurants, Public transit, are all at your doorstep, to just 5 minutes walk.
Come visit us year-round, for a lovely get-away weekend, or a week in the city on business!

Large bright spacious bedrooms
Each of our 3 main rooms has a queen bed, with crisp white cotton sheets and fluffy hotel-style towels. The 4th bedroom is suitable for one, and has bamboo floors and wall panel.
We have a piano and guitar on site, for music to happen if you should be so inclined, and the little garden at the front has trees and 2 magnolias (spring flowering)
The views from our home are of the quiet dead-end street, or the back lane way, and the roof deck on the 3rd floor overlooks the historical cemetery at the end of the street. It's so quiet you'll think you're in the country!

Things to see and do in Toronto
Close to home, there are amazing places to walk and view the Victorian homes, -especially at night, when you can peek in windows and see the amazing interiors of some of the historical homes around the area.
Walk or take a bus down Parliament street to the Distillery District, -an antique distillery yard which has been renovated and is now one of the hottest restaurant districts in the city. Eat seafood, see a live band, visit an art gallery, or just walk the cobble stoned streets!
Farther down Parliament, you can reach the harbour. Harbourfront has shops and activities, international fairs, Art events, galleries, studio openings, and of course, the ferry over to Toronto Island. Take a picnic and escape to the island for a wonderful day outing.
Bike rental is a great way to see the city. BIXI is the local bike rental company -just pick one up, ride it to your destination, and drop it at the place you're going to. Rent another for the ride home again!

Farther afield
If you've got a car at your disposal, day trips are a great opportunity to see more of Ontario.
the CN tower is the biggest downtown attraction, and then farther out -20 minutes drive- is the Toronto Zoo. 1.5 hours away is Niagara Falls,
and Elora Gorge Park is 2 hours away.
Georgian Bay with all it's beautiful scenery and great water activities is just 2 hours drive.
In winter, Awenda Park is 2 hours north, for cross country skiing, as is Horseshoe Valley and Mount Saint Louis Moonstone, for downhill skiing.
Contact us if you'd like to combine your visit with a weekend escape at our cottage on Georgian Bay.!
