Really wonderful Home from home villa in Tuscany
A wonderful Tuscan home for family and friends to enjoy with beautiful views , a private infinity pool and, a tranquil position.
The villa adjoins the remains of the ancient fortress dating back to the 11th century. The renovation of the villa now provides a really lovely home to enjoy these tranquil surroundings. The main villa has two bright and cosy bedrooms and two bathrooms. On the ground floor there is a modern kitchen, separate sitting and dining room and access to the vast sun deck terraces and the infinity pool. Adjacent to the villa, (15 meters) is the independent studio on one level offering a large double bedroom, modern bathroom, sitting room and small kitchen area. The studio has three french doors with access to the olive groves, gardens, terraces and pool.
This is Villa Castello Roccolo and is for sure, a really special property tucked away on the sleepy hillside of Castiglion Fiorentino and where guests can make this their "home from home". The villa is set amongst olive groves and typical Tuscan landscape. Adjacent to the main villa is a small church which is slowly being renovated to complete the original borgo.
The infinity pool and the very large terraces have, perhaps the very best views in this treasured valley. Throughout the year the fields below change their appearance, form sunflowers to fields of poppies - whatever the time of year, the views from here are just wonderful. The town of Castiglion Fiorentino is the backdrop of this perfect location.
It is about 3 km from the town, where there are many restaurants, bars and shops and, there is also small shop, bar and restaurant just across the valley if you did not want to travel into the town,
the villa is in a great location - an excellent base to explore Tuscany its many hill towns, festivals, wineries and countryside including easy easy day trips to Cortona, Pienza, Montepulciano, Siena etc - Florence is also easy by either car (1 hour) or by train from our local station.
The olive groves around the houses are ideal for children's play. In the woods on top of the hill behind the house lie the remains of a 11 th century fortress/castle.The drive up to the villa provides some excellent views - and then - you will arrive at the parking area below the main house where the "real views" are there to enjoy.
There is easy access into the studio with its facilities all on one floor. Paths are mainly gravel, and on a slight incline to the terrace and a further pathway to the pool.
The very large terrace, the garden and swimming pool has plenty of discrete lighting to enjoy the surrounds and its facilities
Additional facilities in the area are tennis courts, horse riding, as well as the many local festivals
