B&B:
Breakfasts are served in the open plan kitchen area, while in summer guests eat in the glorious garden or beside the pool, with wonderful view of Rhodes Memorial. The hospitable well travelled owners have a keen interest in wine and besides an interesting collection of wines, have planted a small Shiraz vineyard beside the boule court.

The Main House
The main house was built at the end of the 1890;s in Queen Victoria twilite years as are many of the large homes in our surburb close by.We are walking distance to 7 restaurants and bars also to Newlands cricket and rugby grounds.We are around a 10 minuet drive to the city center CTICC and Cape Town International airport.

The breackfast room/Libary
A sun filled room with a victoria mahogany 8 seater dining table,victorian marbal working fire place ,plus book shelves with a number of first editions and lots of travel books.Sporting prints on the walls of cricket and rugby matches from the 1900's.Drink cabertet/with honersty bar,and a collection of Royal comretive cups and mugs,dateing back to Queen Victoria and also some right up to date with Prince William and Princess Kate.

Location:
The guest house is ideally situated within walking distance of Newlands rugby and cricket grounds. A 10 to15 minute drive to either the airport or the centre of Cape Town and waterfront, and just further 10 minutes to the beautiful beaches of Camps Bay and Clifton. For the keen golfer there are several golf courses with 5km of Brooklands House. Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens is only ten minutes drive and both Newlands Rugby and Newlands Cricket grounds are within 20 minutes walk.

The Van Rensburg Suite.
This suite has a small bathroom with a shower,but the bedroom has loverly views over the gardens,a king size bed /two twin beds can be put in this room.There is a sofa plus desk and up right chair,plus plenty of wardrobe space,also the usual mini safe,,satalite TV etc.

The shiraz delux en suite.Room 3
A smallish sun filled room in the mornings with a double bed,heating and cooling,fridge,TV DVD player ,kettel etc and your bathroom has a shower and views over the gardens.

The Kitchen and laundry room
The Kitchen is a large open space with an eight seater dining room table,ample work serfaces,cupboards,electric over and hot plate,fridge,microwave,toaster ,kettel,etc.

The Dining room or Red room.
A ten seater dining table,that can be split into three is in the center of the room,with a victorian marbal fire place,and lage picture windows that look out over the gardens and the back of Table Mountain.Large paintings and some prints adorn the walls.

The Brooklands room.Room 4.
A queen size bed,and prints and pictures of the golden raceing days of Brooklands in weybridge ,England.A confortable leather club arm chair,table/desk and up right chair,with kettel,mini bar fridge,satalite TV,DVD player etc.Your bathroom has a large shower plus a deep victorian style roll top bath.

ROOM 1 - Rhodes Suite
Honeymoon Suite with curtained four poster bed, small lounge area with views of the swimming pool and Rhodes Memorial. Bath en-suite with heated towel rail. DSTV, mini bar, hair dryer and emergency lighting.
ROOM 2 - Van Rensburgh Suite
A large sunny room overlooking the garden with original paintings by Derek van Rensburg. Queen size bed, lounge area. Shower en-suite with heated towel rail. DSTV, mini bar, hair dryer and emergency lighting.
ROOM 3 - Shiraz Room
A standard double room with lots of sun in the mornings, arm chair and desk, shower en-suite with heated towel rail. DSTV, mini bar, hair dryer and emergency lighting.
ROOM 4 - Brooklands Room
Our Brooklands room with two single beds, prints and paintings of racing in the 30's. Shower and bath en-suite with heated towel rail. DSTV, mini bar, hair dryer and emergency lighting.

A Mahogany for poster bed with thick red drapes that close to help keep ot and lingering winter chill.A marbal victorian fire place,stunning views of Rohoes memorial and the back of world famous Table Mountain are your views lieing in bed.A two seater sofa and a confortable leather club chair.A victorian style roll top bath and hand shower,heated towel rail, are in your bathroom along with your view of Table Mountain while you soak in your deep bath.All bedrooms have satalite TV,DVD players,mini bar fridge,plus over head fan for your cooling and a heater to keep you warm.

The Sun Room,and swimming pool and gardens.
The sun room is the best room in the house,with four plump sofas to kick off your shoues and realx in ,read the newspaper,or a book or catch up on your emails,as much of the house has very good WIFI conections.The sun room leades into the gardens that has a large plain tree with a swing that is very popular with children and aduls alike.Ther is a petit shiraz vinyard,boule court,and an outside bar ba qu area.The swimming pool has sun loungers and complementary pool towels.

We have safe parking behind our black auto gates in our gravel parking area for 10 or more cars.
