Q: What sort of provisions are at the cottage?
A: We provide continental breakfast supplies (loaf of bread, butter, jam, muesli, cornflakes, milk and orange juice) and a welcome package (bottle of wine, biscotti, crackers and camembert) for your enjoyment. There is also tea, herbal tea, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper and olive oil in the pantry. You can either bring food with you to the island (beware the 15kg pp luggage limit if flying), or stock up at Claris, Stonewall Store or Mulberry Grove. Because of the high cost of freight to the island, groceries can be expensive.

Q: What is the security is there for valuable items?
A: There is a safe in the cottage for any valuable items.

Q: How often is the cottage serviced?
A: Our policy is to service the cottage every third day, for stays of 4 nights or more, usually between 10am and 2pm. The service comprises,
Changing linen.
Clean bathroom
Wash any dishes.
Empty rubbish bins
Vacuum throughout.
Restock breakfast and other provisions (not welcome pack)

Q: Is there an internet connection available at the cottage?
A: No but there is an internet cafe at nearby Claris.

Q: Can we bring an extra person?
A: The cottage has one bedroom with a queensized bed. However we can supply an extra fold-out bed for a young person. There is an extra charge for this. Please enquire.

Q: How do we access the cottage?
A: Access is by 4WD only. You will either need to rent one if you are flying to the island or we can arrange transfers for you.
|
Q: How far is the nearest shop?
A: It would take an hour to walk but about 10 minutes by car.
|
Q: What faciliites are available?
A: There is Doctor, PHarmacy, Police, Civil Defence, Post Office, Laundromat, Shops and Restaurants. Note there is no Eftpos machine on the island.

Try out our windsurfer, enjoy boogie boarding, a spot of fishing off the rocks or mess about in the dinghy. Finish your day on the deck, in the warm evening air, sipping wine and watching the spectacular sunsets.

A scenic 30 minute flight from Auckland will get you there - we can arrange flights, transfers, restaurant bookings, rental car and activities for you. You'll find chilled wine in the fridge, breakfast items, flowers & fresh fruit all ready for you.
