A: The chefs take your order from an extensive menu after breakfast daily and then shop for fresh produce. You pay market costs only.

Q: Have you a bar facility?
A: Absolutely! Wonderful cocktails and a very good wine list..all offered at wholesale prices.

Q: Are children welcome?
A: Very much so..families are one of our highest demographic. We offer special food and drink menus, high chairs, sterilizers, cutlkery, crockery, car seats, cots, play centres, toys, pool toys and floats, sunscreen, etc and will order nappies etc in specially to be on hand for you on arrival.

Q: Can anyone help with tours and general planning/reservations?
A: The manager MADE acts as your PA/concierge from the time he meets you at the airport or other property. He in fact does most of your driving and will help you schedule so as to achieve as much as possible during the time you hsve at the villa/in Bali.

Q: What if we have special food allergies/dislikes/requirements?
A: I (as owner) will discuss this with you prior to arrival so the staff and chefs are totaslly clear on your needs. You will be sent a booking form on which to document these things too.

Q: Do you offer a VIP airport arrival service?
A: Yes. details of this will appear on the booking form. We also offer it for departures. We charge this at cost only...so about half the price of most operators.

Q: What are your inclusions?
A: Welcome drinks (signature cocktail/beer/fruit juice..Shirley Temples for children).
Evening canapés (a charge will apply for non-resident guests).

Daily full breakfasts (à la carte)

Q: What if we have a late flight?

Please note that a late check-out will be extended to you if there is no new arrival that day. However, you may guarantee a late check-out to suit your flights by paying a discounted 50% of the daily published rate.
If you choose not to guarantee a late check-out (or if it wasn’t available at booking time because of previous bookings) and there is a new check-in on the day of your departure your check-out time will be 11am.
However, we are keen to contribute to making your last day a special one and suggest the following:
We will take you to Le Meridian Resort and Spa at Tanah Lot (15mins away) where our guests can obtain access to all facilities for 100,000Rp pp which allows them to enjoy the pools and restaurants during the day and then to shower in the gym bathrooms perhaps prior to dinner at one of the restaurants. Alternatively (and better) I suggest you book an entry level room at http://www.starwoodhotels.com/lemeridien/property/overview/index.html?propertyID=1836
so you have access to a room all day and to shower in and this saves you paying the access fees. The SUNGAI staff will collect you at the appropriate time to take you to the airport.
If not taking a room we suggest that you take hand luggage with you and the SUNGAI staff will mind the larger luggage till they collect you in the afternoon/evening, as the hotel does not get involved with outside luggage.

Q: Do you offer meals at the villa?
A: Dining is a key focus at SUNGAI. Guests dine in >80% of the time as the food is regarded by most guests as being better than most restaurants and hotel outlets (incl the Four seasons Sayan). We have a team of chefs (very unusual for a small private villa) and an excellent team of dining/bar staff to present your food.

Q: How many guests does the complimentary vehicle hold?
A: 7 plus driver.

Q: Do we have to book Saturday to Saturday like many rental properties and what hours will we be met at the airport?
A: You can book any dates that are available. The minimum stays are the only constraints..these vary between seasons and are noted amongst these questions. The manager will meet you at anytime a flight arrives. We try to make your first night special even if you arrive late and have a suggested supper menu.

Q: What staff will we have?
A: Manager/PA, dining and bar staff, grounds staff, chefs, drivers, spa therapists, rooms staff (rooms are serviced 2x daily).

Q: Is there overnight staff
A: Yes..and able to make cocxktails, specialty coffees, etc.
he also makes sure the villa is in perfect order when the first guests arise. he will then offer coffees, fresh juices, early breakfats...

Q: Are there set meal times?
A: No. Guests can have breakfast at their leisure as they wake up. Lunch and dinner is taken together at a time to suit guests.

Q: How are meals handled at the villa?
A: Please note that your complimentary breakfast can be ordered each morning from the menu. Selections for all other meals are required after breakfast each day, or as soon as your plans are known. The chefs shop daily to ensure the freshest ingredients and are very flexible if those plans happen to change.

Q: Do we all order what we want as in a restaurant?
A: For breakfast yes.
SUNGAI has an innovative and rather unusual approach to food. The chefs shop daily at local markets, delicatessens, specialty shops and the receipts are produced to you for approval the next morning. There is no mark-up on them nor premium for its preparation by your chefs. You won’t pay a cent more than if you went and bought the produce yourself.
To help with planning for your arrival and to remove the need for major decisions as soon as you arrive at the villa, suggestions have been made below for the first couple of days that will give you an idea of the usual format. The only charge made for your dinners, lunches and snacks is the market cost of ingredients. Guests are asked to order as if for a private dinner party where, if possible, all guests enjoy the same selections. If you wish to alter the suggestions below please do so from the menus that have been sent to you previously. Of course special requests and a guest’s food dislikes are taken into account.
If relevant, you will have already received the villa’s children’s menu which is offered on the same basis as the adult one, although naturally they may select from either menu.
