Aix is often called City of Art, City of Water and tourists from around the world are attracted to this priveleged town. Aix Boasts a fantastic climate, set in a valley between the Luberon Mountains to the north, the green valleys of the Var and Marseille and the Mediterranean beaches to the south. Loved and painted by Paul Cezanne, many a warm evening can be spent dining on one of the terraces numerous restaurants lined up on the cobbled streets.
Environment : South facing, within a private domain, in a residential hamlet surrounded by vineyards, a few minutes drive from Aix city centre.
PLACES TO VISIT:
Marseille. Second largest city in France, cosmopolitan and exuberant, renowned for its picturesque old port and Bouillabaisse (a tomato based soup with a multitude of different fish and shellfish).
Carry le Rouet. Charming seaside resort with lovely beaches, clear waters and picturesque little fishing port. At the foot of pine covered hills, in the heart of the "Côte Bleue". Also ideal for beautiful walks all along the seaside.
Sausset les Pins. Small, family seaside resort with pretty fishing port, surrounded by aromatic scrubland and pine forests. Within the Côte Bleue Marine park with artificial reefs along the coast of Sausset les Pins for diving enthusiasts.
Martigues. Large town between the Mediterranean coast and the Etang de Berre, with charming and picturesque old city centre and attractive harbour area.
