Location:

Set amidst a sparkling stretch of beach framed by coconut palms is Palm Cove. An intimate seaside enclave that features an esplanade lined with melaleuca trees, a warm, tropical buzz is always present. Once upon a time Palm Cove was an undiscovered gem and now it is the tropical holiday destination of choice. No one feels rushed or obligated to be doing things all day at Palm Cove. The major allure of Palm Cove is the laid back atmosphere that everyone wants when they are on vacation. The seafront village is relaxed, but the service and facilities here are first class and easily accessible to all Palm Cove accommodation. Palm Cove is only 30 minutes drive from the Cairns International Airport and under 1km off the Cook Highway. The area is sparsely populated with a resident population of around 4,000 people, many of whom are connected with the tourism and hospitality industry. If you’ve come to Palm Cove from the city to escape the daily grind then you’ll be pleasantly surprised. You won’t find any high-rise buildings, or traffic jams, just a well planned beachfront community that contains boutique restaurants, cafés and mini marts. The beachfront esplanade is definitely the focal point here and the beach was named Australia’s Cleanest Beach in the Inaugural awards and the place people love coming to. There are so many ways to make sure that you get to see as much of Palm Cove as possible. If you flew to Palm Cove then it’s easy to hire a car or even hire a bicycle to explore the hinterland. The area is full of beautiful natural attractions. With the world-Heritage-listed reefs and rainforests, you will never be short of a breath taking scenery to explore. You can dive, snorkel, sail, canoe, hike, trail, drift in a balloon or ride in a helicopter to see it all. Palm Cove also contains marvelous built attractions such as wild life parks, cultural centres and the region is full of outstanding fruit wineries and coffee plantations. Driving through the hinterland is a wonderful experience with excellent roads snaking through the glorious tropical countryside.
