Full Description

Villa Moorings is a large double-story detached house in a small gated community that overlooks the bay at Cape Panwa on Phuket’s quieter east coast. Luxury yachts make this bay their home during the summer season. Below the house, a large common pool with diving board is next to the beach. All four bedrooms occupy the garden floor and the upstairs have a spacious living room and open-plan dining room with a kitchen. The master bedroom overlooks the azure blue bay and has a large covered terrace, ideal for ‘al fresco’ dining. Solid teak floors throughout give this villa a luxury feel. Ample off-road parking and manicured gardens give a tropical air to this traditionally styled property.

Living Room Description

The large living area has fans and a/c leading onto a big terrace with panoramic sea views. Comfy sofas allow guests to relax and take in Phuket’s fabulous sunsets or watch a movie on the villa’s TV. The teak floors give the villa a homely feel, and surrounding windows give an airy atmosphere to this elegant space.

Dining Room

The villa’s dining room is open-plan and perfect for a formal dinner, though I suspect most of the dining will take place on one of the Mooring’s two large terraces. Alternatively, simple lunches or drinks could be taken by the large common pool.

Kitchen

The Moorings simple kitchen has lots of workspace with an integral electric hob, microwave and oven. Other appliances include a washing machine and a big fridge, which is all you need for simple lunches on the terrace and the odd evening when you’re not exploring Phuket Town’s multitude of bistros.

Bedrooms

The villa’s four bedrooms are well appointed with teak flooring. The master has a large private bathroom and fabulous sea views. The further three guest bedrooms share one bathroom. The third bedroom is located within another bedroom so ideal for keeping an eye on the children.

Bathrooms

The Mooring’s two bathrooms are simplicity itself with white ceramics. Hot water is supplied and the master bathroom has a large bath tub. One ample sized bathroom, again with simple ceramics is shared by the other bedrooms.
