Getting a feeling for the location
Crabbes Creek is the southern most village in the Tweed Shire, but is closer to Byron Bay (20 mins) than Tweed Heads - 25 mins.
Coolangatta/Gold Coast Airport is 30 minutes north & Ballina Airport 45 mins south.
Pristine Wooyung Beach, great for whale watching, is closest but there are so many just a few extra minutes up & down the coast.
The Visitors Information Centre at Murwillumbah is well worth a visit, as is the Tweed Regional Art Gallery. A superb view of the river and Mt Warning!
Stokers Siding is home of internationally reknowned potter, Bob Connery, as well as a wonderful collection of local art & craft.
Brunswick Heads, 10 mins to south, has many restaurants, 2 winning National awards. Fresh seafood can be bought at the Co-Op & there are plenty of outlets for a meal of Fish'n'Chips in the park or at the marina. The river, family beach & the patrolled surf beach are relaxing.
Golf courses surround the area - Ocean Shores Country Club is closest, and the property at Crabbes Creek provides plenty of lawn for practice.

Notice The House has been given only 2 stars - because this is not a grand mansion with the latest furniture, or fashionable decor items. It is a comfortable, casual family home with all the necessities to make life comfortable in a rural setting. The focus is on what is around The House, beecause with such natural beauty within the property itself. as well as the locality surrounded by National Parks, pristine beaches and quaint villages, guests don't spend much time inside.

The gardens and surrounds
Guests sit out on the patio listening to the birdsong and the waterfall in the rainforest gully; they wander through the beautiful gardens, pick herbs, fruit, native tucker and veretables for meals - all organic; they feed the ducks and turtles, sit on the second dam's mooring and read a book, take a picnic lunch to a private shady spot, use the BBQs or take their pets for walks.

Kitchen
The kitchen is fully equipped with basic range hood, gas hob and oven, medium size. All appliances are provided - jug, toaster, blender, citrus juicer, electric frypan , electric grill, microwave - + all necessary cooking utensils, saucepans, bowls serving dishes, crockery, cutlery and glassware, sufficient for 8 guests.
Coffee plunger along with tea/coffee provisions are in pantry + basic cooking items - oil, flour, vinegar and so on.

Bedding
The main bedroom has a Queen bed and is next to the separate toilet. The main Bathroom is separate and next to the toilet. Bedroom #2 has a pair of King single beds which can be zipped together and #3 bedroom has a pair of single beds. A double bed futon is in the living area. An extra single foldawaycan be put in.

Bathrooms
This property is entirely on rain tankwater. The internal bathroom has a 1m x 1m hob of 45cm depth, great for bathing youngsters. The shower rose is detachable and water saving. The toilet is separate.
An additional shower and toilet are available from the back patio.
