Kiwi Bach

The house is a real 60's kiwi bach (or villa) - basic but very comfortable where you can feel at home. The location is second to none - just 25m from the broad veranda to the sea, yet very private. From here you can watch the day unfold, or dine & entertain at the large outdoor table - fortunate guests have seen orcas, dolphins or seals from the veranda. The house has 4 bedrooms - it is very compact at just over 100m2 but has frequently hosted 2 families.

Private Location

Tapuaetahi Beach is a ‘forgotten’ bay. It is close to Kerikeri but off the beaten track on the Purerua Peninsula. The beach is accessed through a private farm with access only open to residents and their guests. As a result it is relatively private, and largely a bay like the way NZ was a generation ago. There are 50 baches in the bay and about a dozen residents, but it mostly feels like there is hardly anyone there.
