Views
Unobstructed beach and bay views with an endless procession of passing boats and amazing sunsets. Sit back on the deck with a drink and be entertained by beach goers, boats launching and the array of tour boats, yachts, launches and even cruise ships as they pass by close to the house.

Beach
Direct access to a safe, sandy all tide swimming beach just a few steps off the deck with no road or sand dunes to cross. Leave your towel on the deck and swim to the diving pontoon in front. Stroll along the beach and explore hidden bays, visit Rocky Bay beach on the other side of Tapeka Point or visit Long Beach just outside Russell. Creek next to the property streaming onto the sand providing hours of fun for children

Outdoor Living
The outdoor living and entertaining area is superb with a large furnished deck surrounded by seating, Cape Cod chairs and BBQ grill. A covered verandah surrounds the house with direct access from bedrooms and living area. Watch the children playing in front, bouncing on the trampoline or damming the creek. A few steps off the deck and you are on the beach. Sit back with a cocktail in the evenings and enjoy the romantic sunsets and star lit sky. Listen to your favourite music from the deck speakers.

Bedrooms and Linen
All linen, towels and basic provisions are supplied with beds made prior to arrival. The Master bedroom is on a secluded wing of the house with king size bed, heated ensuite bathroom, LCD TV, safe and sea views - not to mention the sound of the waves. The second bedroom has a queen and single with sea views. The third bedroom has a king and single bed with garden views. Directly behind the house at the same level is a large fourth bedroom / games room. This contains a king bed and three singles, two of which can be placed together to create another double. This room is popular with children and families. Two portacots, high chair, bath and stroller are available for infants plus a stereo, DVD and LCD TV. Separate laundry with auto washer and dryer.

Boating
Three Kayaks and a dinghy (row boat) are available free of charge with life jackets provided. Go fishing, collect NZ green lipped mussells or explore the secluded beaches and Tapeka Point by Kayak. A boat ramp is just 100m away with a mooring (5m draft at low tide) for guests with their own or chartered boat. A filleting station, beer fridge and bait freezer supplied for the days catch. Tapeka Point is the closest launching point to the islands and a popular rock fishing location.

Activities and Attractions
Tapeka Del Mar is just 2 minutes drive from historic Russell Village with museums, galleries, historic places, walks, cafes, shops and restaurants. Boat trips to the famous "Hole in the Rock", swim with the Dolphins, yacht / tall ship sailing trips and fishing trips all stop at Russell wharf. Tapeka is the perfect base to explore the rest of Northland with easy day trips to Paihia, Waitangi Treaty grounds, Haruru Falls, Kerikeri, Cape Reinga, Whangarei and the Kauri forests.

Grounds
The mature private grounds have ample off street parking and boat trailer turning. Panoramic views from the house and deck with a beach a few steps away. Lots of room for ball games and trampoline. There is no road to cross between the house and beach.

Entertainment
Entertainment includes a Bose home theatre with 5.1 surround sound, high definition wide screen TV, Sky satellite TV, DVD, CD player, iPod dock and outdoor deck speakers. A stereo, DVD and LCD TV is also provided in the large rear bedroom / games room. Telephone and free high speed wireless Internet access. DVD library and lots of books, magazines and board games - or simply watch the boating world pass by.

Inside Living
The inside living area has high ceilings, comfy leather sofas and a nautical theme with a Cape Cod feel. Panoramic sea and beach views extend through floor to ceiling windows and ranch sliders to the deck and beach. Big marine chart on the wall to view the islands and discuss the best fishing spots. The granite kitchen has two dish drawer dishwashers, ice maker and is fully equipped for self catering and entertaining. Breakfast bar and ample serving dishes. The large rear bedroom doubles as a games room and teen escape with LCD TV, stereo and books. The living room and all bedrooms have individual heaters and ceiling fams.
