Facilities
Whilst retaining the original facade from 1866, the cottage has been renovated internally. The sunny living room has a TV with Freeview and DVD. There is a selection of book, magazines, DVDs and CDs to enjoy. WiFi is available at a small additional charge. The bedroom has a queen bed with quality mattress and luxurious linens. To the rear is a well equipped kitchen and sunroom with sofa and dining table overlooking the private garden which gets all-day sun. The bathroom has a shower over the bath and separate toilet. A garage is available for parking a car.

Location
The cottage is perfectly situated to explore Nelson. Within 200m is a dairy, post office, Organic Greengrocer, Enriching Day Spa, and the Sprig and Fern tavern (a tiny pub with old-fashioned hospitality, open fires, boutique beers and board games). Close by is the Maitai River, Queen's Gardens, Suter Art Gallery and the Centre of New Zealand with magnificent views over Nelson city.
Nelson city's rich array of boutique shops, cafes, bars and restaurants are a 10 minute walk away, including Hopgoods Restaurant - winner of Cuisine's Best Casual Dining award in 2009.
