The family did everything to make our stay enjoyable, they did everything to make us feel welcome, going so far as to raise an Irish flag in our honour,i would recommend to friends to stay here.

Apartment is attached, but completely separate from main house behind. Soundproofed between. No need to have any interaction with owner behind at all during your stay. Modern - designed by famous NZ architect (John Austin - creator of JASMAX) & interior designer and built in 2009-2010. North-facing with stunning views of St Heliers ponyclub, Purewa estary, and Orakei basin (lake) 1 min walk away. Apartment is warm in winter & cool in summer. Double-glazed windows. Heavily insulated walls and ceilings. Skylights in roof all down southside. Contempary design with all mod cons provided. Internal access from single garage to your apartment.

Kitchenette

Solid marble benchtop with large washing basin with waste disposal. Filtered water (no fluoride or chlorine). Dishwasher. Thermowave microwave. Small conventional wall oven. 2 hob cooktop. Stainless steel fridge with small attached freezer. All cutley & plates etc provided

Entertainment Unit

42" LED-LCD TV + Blueray DVD player + FreeView Box/channels. CD player + AM/FM radio.

Office Area

Separate alcove with full-size desk with Windows XP computer, A4 scanner, A4 B&W laser printer & broadband internet connection.

1x Queen size bed, with lots of wardrobe space for all your clothes & storage.

Bathroom / Ensuite

Bathroom is tiled with underfloor heating running length of south wall (all inside bathroom, then strip infront of wardrobes and kitchen area). Bathroom has tiled glass shower with awesome showerhead. Cabinetry in bathroom is ultra-modern with 3 separate mirror 'doors' + mirror on back of bathroom door + adjustable lighting to enable woman to do makeup perfectly!

Lounge/Living Room

Compact but modern and very comfortable. Stunning views facing North (like facing south in Northern hemisphere) getting all-day sun. Wool carpet. Beautiful NZ paintings on walls.

Deck

Amazing views of Auckland city lights (Skytower, Mechanics Bay) and during day have incredible view of St Heliers Pony Club (~14 horses grazing at any one time) with Purewa Creek in front to set the view off.
