Serenity Villas is still a hidden pearl on the very picturesque island of Koh Phangan in the Gulf of Thailand. With our hotel and it's accommodations being at the very last stop on the share taxi's line ensures that only a handful of walk-in guests make it to our beach resort, while a set of rather steep hills discourage even the most noisy of motorcyclists from dropping by. Actually, the Serenity Villas is a hideaway on the west coast of Koh Phangan, and if you are looking for serenity and a quiet place to re-charge your batteries during your beach holiday, the Serenity Villas on the northern part of Serenity beach is the secluded oasis you were looking for.

By Car:
Unlike with some of the other popular east coast islands in Thailand, it is possible to drive your car all the way to the Serenity Cove resort on Koh Phangan. There are 3 ferries that provide easy access to Koh Phangan island. The distance from Bangkok to the ferries is 610 kilometers, but when planning your journey, do not forget to include a 45 - 60 minutes ferry crossing plus as much as an hour waiting time, if you happen to travel during a Thai holiday. Driving a car in Thailand can be somewhat challenging at times, but the roads leading to Suratthani have been recently improved and are among the best and safest roads off Thailand. When traveling from Bangkok there are only one route that is worth mentioning : This is the Bangkok - Suratthani highway, which starts out as an elevated toll way that runs right on top of highway number 1.
While Suratthani hosts some of the cheapest seafood restaurants in the country, it is possible that you are eager to get to our Serenity Cove resort and that you would like to avoid the city of Suratthani altogether. If so, 20km before Suratthani city border, head straight to the ferry piers. Center point ferries is a few hundred meters away. Buy (return) tickets from the booth and park in line. Snacks and beverages can be bought on the ferry, unless you are on the first run and the key holder is still at home recovering from last night's beach party.

By Air:
Samui & Phangan Tranportation
Samui Airport is conveniently located on the mainland just south of Big Buddha pier , where the ferries to Koh Phangan Island depart from. There is an Samui airways limousine-bus that can take you directly to the pier for a reasonable fee of 100 baht per person.
Flights from Bangkok's new Suvarnabhumi airport to Samui airport are leaving at 08:30, 14:30 and at 17:30. From Samui to Bangkok, Bangkok Airways flights depart at 10:05, 16:05 and 19:05 during the busy months. The flight takes app. 55 minutes.

From the ferry piers to the Serenity Cove resort:
While we are pursuing the option of having our own transportation to and from the Serenity Cove resort, to and from Thong Sala, we are currently obliged to let our visitors make use of the public white 'shared taxies' which are locally known as Song Teaw. When the ferry arrives to the island you will normally find several of these shared taxi's waiting for you at the unloading point. Although the fees are not always fixed, the trip to our location at the Serenity beach (Haad Yao) should be 100 baht per person. However, when visitors arrive late in the afternoon or early evening it is not uncommon that the taxi driver will ask for a higher fare if there are not enough people to share. At such time you can negotiate with the driver or wait for a next ferry with more people to arrive.
Keep in mind that there are no other forms of public transportation on the island while negotiating. If you find yourself somehow stuck or unable to make it to the Serenity Cove resort, don't hesitate to give us a call, so that we may assist in finding alternative transportation for you or send one of our staff members to come and collect you.
