Why stay here

This home is a peaceful setting. You feel you are escaping into the country, but you are so close to everything! At your doorstep you have Lake Hayes, Arrowtown, Queenstown & the Queenstown Trails, golf courses, wineries, ski fields, museums, etc. You will need to rent a car to explore the area, so why stay in noisy Queenstown in a house that may not get great sun? Stay in our cosy, sunny home with glorious views of mountains and Lake Hayes. Stroll through our beautiful garden and enjoy the birdsong.

Bedroom and bath details

The master bedroom has a Queen bed and an ensuite with a shower. This bedroom has a sliding door that opens on to the front deck, overlooking Lake Hayes. The first guest bedroom has a Queen size bed and opens on to the back patio. The bed(s) in the second guest room can be configured as two singles or one super king. The hall bathroom has a tub and a shower.

Lounge, dining, kitchen

You will find a large plasma TV, gas fireplace and multiple sofas in the lounge. The dining room seats 6 easily, and you can bring in the chairs from the outside table (make sure they are dry, pretty please) to seat more people. The kitchen is really well equipped as we are foodies!

Arrowtown

A trip to Arrowtown is a trip back in time. What to see? The Chinese Miners Settlement and the Lake District Museum. Walk the main street of Arrowtown, check out the quirky shops and have some ice-cream...or a hot pie, a gourmet meal, or a wine tasting. There is a lot packed into this small town. The Dorothy Brown art house cinema is something not to miss. Numerous walking trails -- at all fitness levels-- are in the area; ask at the Lake District Museum for details and maps.
