Little Barrier Island is visible on the horizon, the islands of the ‘Noises’ and ‘Tiri Tiri Matangi’ are to the left, Great Barrier Island to the right and in the foreground Palm Beach is invitingly close with the sound of the sea ever present. The zig-zag path winds down through the lush, sub-tropical garden to the road below and then the sandy beach – an all-tide, safe swimming beach. The walk to the water’s edge takes about three minutes in all. The Koru Apartment can comfortably accommodate up to 2 couples or 4 single guests, or a family with two children. We also have a cot and high chair available.

Facilities:

Bedrooms: 2 Both bedrooms come with lounge areas, so are very large, with King split beds (can be either double or 2 Single beds) and walk-in wardrobes. Both of these rooms open out onto the expansive decks and overlook the stunning northern beach views. Rollaway bed available for additional guest Sleeps: 4 Bathrooms: 1 Bathroom has bath, shower and toilet. Kitchenette: Kitchenette with fridge/freezer, electric hob, baking microwave, coffee plunger and all cooking utensils. Lounges: 2 Open plan lounge in each bedroom, with TV Freeview Dining room: Dining for four within the kitchen or on the expansive deck. Laundry: Communal laundry facilities with washer, dryer. Linen and bath towels provided. Outdoor facilities: Fully landscaped garden oasis. Off street parking. Large north facing decks with outside table and chairs, shade umbrella, sun loungers and deckchairs. Private gas BBQ.

Closeby attractions:

5 min walk to beautiful Palm Beach, Palm Beach Fish and Chip shop and covenience store. The Lookout Restaurant & Bar is located up the hill from Palm Beach. A 10 minute drive to the car ferry at Kennedy Point and approximately an 8 min drive to the passenger ferry located at Matiatia. There are some beautiful walks in the area as well as a playground at Palm Beach and free bbq facilities. Palm Beach is a beautiful sandy beach - safe swimming so good for kids, great snorkeling, diving and home to plenty of boats in summer. If the wind is blowing in from the north you can get some good surf, but generally the water is calm. At the far western end is “nudey bay” so if you fancy a skinny dip keep going west.
