Q: Can we have our wedding at the property?
A: Yes - but a NZD150 service fee is levied. A noise curfew is set at 10pm. We have great neighbours and we wish to keep it that way.
|
Q: Are there any restaurants nearby?
A: Yes - the Yellow Hibiscus Restaurant is opposite the road; Vaima Restaurant & Coco Latte Cafe & Wigmores Takeaway is located 500-700m down the road.
|
Q: We are look for other beach places nearby, can you recommend any?
A: Yes - review this website and look at all other holiday homes in the 'Vaimaanga' area - they will be nearby and of a good standard.
|
Q: Is the beach sandy?
A: Yes - Vaimaanga arguably has the best beach on Rarotonga.
|
Q: Is the lagoon good & safe for swimming?
A: Yes - Vaimaanga lagoon is arguably the best on Rarotonga. Deep, sandy with large coral heads perfect for snorkelling.
|
Q: Should I bring food with us to Rarotonga?
A: No need - some food prices are better than New Zealand. Foods that have to be airfreighted in (dairy, gourmet fancy food) are about 15-20% more expensive than Auckland. Foods that are shipped in (non-perishable food) is priced on par with Auckland (standard prices - not including special sales).
|
Q: Is dutyfree cheaper in Rarotonga?
A: Yes - cartons of cigarettes (10 pkts) are NZD16. Spirits are 15-20% cheaper than dutyfree in Auckland. Air NZ & Virgin Australia flight attendants buy their dutyfree from Rarotonga Airport (they are the worlds smartest dutyfree shoppers).

Natura Beach Pool Villa 1 - Reviewed by Mere from New Zealand in October 2019. We waited quite a long time at the airport for our transfer but this was the only hiccup throughout our stay. Family of 10 ranging from a 3 year old through to 60 plus years, everything catered for. Swimming with the fish, snorkeling, kayaking or just relaxing by the pool with a glass in your hand, living the dream. Will definitely be back.
Water pressure in the shower upstairs could be better but on the upside there is another full bathroom downstairs.
Home away from home in PARADISE.

Natura Beach Pool Villa 1 - Reviewed by 4500 from New Zealand in October 2019. Apart from a bit of a wait for transfer from airport and lack of water pressure in the upstairs shower, absolute PARADISE. We would definitely book here again.
The website doesn't do this property and location justice. Our family of 10 ranging from a 3 year old to 65 plus year old absolutely loved the property. Living the dream. Rating: 4.8

Natura Beach Pool Villa 1 - Reviewed by Meg from New Zealand in August 2018. Incredible house - we loved it!
I will definitely return with my family again.
The house is clean, comfortable, has everything you need and the pool/beach living is perfect for families.
A reliable oven and working phone/internet line would be excellent improvements.
The maintenance and cleaning staff were all friendly and helpful.
Highly recommend! Rating: 4.7

Natura Beach Pool Villa 1 - Reviewed by Christine from New Zealand in November 2018. Our second stay at Natura, as loved it so much the first time, although the pool was an added bonus this time. However, it's a pity the deck & tiles have not been made 'slip-resistant', as both kids & adults slipped/tripped, (on one occasion quite badly & they weren't running when this happened!!) on these surfaces after being in the pool, or after the rain - was pretty treacherous & could be addressed with simple grit-based paint. Air con problem in bedroom addressed quickly - repairman turned up on Saturday & had waited at the house until we returned from morning markets, so that was really appreciated too. Love the location as so handy to Wigmore's & our fav restaurant, Vaima!! Will be back again :) Rating: 4.7

Natura Beach Pool Villa 1 - Reviewed by Elaine from Canada in January 2018. We absolutely loved staying here. The only other suggestion is that perhaps someone come to wash floors in the second week. Although we swept everyday, sand comes in, etc. But otherwise, we were very happy. Rating: 5.0

Natura Beach Pool Villa 1 - Reviewed by Kathy from New Zealand in July 2017. We had a wonderful stay at the Natura Beach Villa. While the actual house was a little tired compared to the online photos, the location and outdoor living area more than made up for that. What an amazing location. 20 steps and you hit the sand and beautiful lagoon. I would go as far to say that it's probably the best beach location on the whole island! Perfect for our family and we had the best time ever. There was a door that wouldn't lock or stay shut on our arrival and I phoned the manager and a new lock was installed the same day by some very friendly maintenance men. We had many awesome meals from the kitchen and BBQ and all round a very special family holiday. Wouldn't hesitate to come back - loved it! Rating: 4.6

Natura Beach Pool Villa 1 - Reviewed by Jackie from Australia in October 2016. We had a lovely time at Natura thank you. Prob the only hassle we had was when we arrived we had to wait until 3.30pm due to the cleaners still being there. However, this wasnt their fault as the previous tennants were late exiting. Although the cleaners obviously do a good job (and they were lovely people!) we felt that the place probably needs a good spring clean ie. the furniture moved and the floors given a thorough clean. However we loved the place and would thoroughly recommend it to our friends. Rating: 4.4

Natura Beach Pool Villa 1 - Reviewed by Anne from New Zealand in July 2015. Awesome Rohan - thank you very much! Great location - awesome snorkelling and swimming straight off the beach in the lagoon out front. A dishwasher would have been nice, but the teenagers bonded over the dishes - so all good ..... All the extras were there - Platters, wine glasses, BBQ, snorkels and kayaks - A truly memorable holiday. Loved our few hours chilling at your hotel, sunning ourselves by the ocean and drinking cocktails after checkout and prior to flying out. as well - thank you for a wonderful holiday
- highly recommend

Natura Beach Pool Villa 1 - Reviewed by Stefanie from New Zealand in April 2015. Wonderful spot right on the lagoon with shallow water (good for kids) and excellent sea life. Access to beach is private. It is a public beach but most of the time we had it to ourselves.
Decorated really nicely. Showers worked well, nice hot water.
Some rooms a bit noisy being very close to the road.
Property is clean enough but could do with a thorough clean as well - maybe thats my high standards!
There are dogs that hang around on the beach but they are absolutely harmless.
Fridge leaks water , this should be addressed and a dishwasher would not go amiss!
Property Manager is nice to deal with. There was a mix up with the pick up time (shuttle arrive half an hour early) but that was not a big deal.

Just perfect for family to be together but have plenty of space to enjoy own privacy. We would recommend this to anyone, it was ideal in position, setup, size just everything was exactly what we wanted and more.
Loved it!!!! Rating: 5.0

Natura Beach Pool Villa 1 - Reviewed by Alice in December 2014. We had a wonderful family holiday/Christmas at Natura. Location was great, size and layout of property/living areas etc was excellent. There were a few things that were not in 100% operating order and/or broken (nothing that had a bearing on enjoying our time there) and these were pointed out and discussed with the owner when we saw him during our stay. Would stay at this property again. Excellent outdoor area. No dishwasher (which we knew) but it would be an added bonus having one for so many people staying at the property. Just a suggestion for the future but again this did not take away any of our enjoyment of our holiday. Rating: 4.7
Owners response to this comment: Thank you for your kind words about your stay at Natura Beach Villa. We will be replacing all broken items. Housekeeping crew have been reminded to list all broken items for replacement to avoid a build-up of useless items in the house. A twin draw dishwasher has been ordered and will be installed soon. We hope to see you all again, soon. Thank you. Rohan Ellis.

Natura Beach Pool Villa 1 - Reviewed by Linda from New Zealand in September 2013. We had the best holiday ever. The only issue was there was not snorkelling equipment...however this was quickly rectified and brand new gear delivered to us. The only other comment is that there was no dishwasher....there was a gap for one...but wasnt one so we had to do our dished by hand. Which was not a biggie! Rating: 4.9
Owners response to this comment: Hi there, we will look at installing a twin shelf dishwasher soon. We are glad to read that you enjoyed your holiday in the Cook Islands. Have a great day and keep in touch! Rohan & Adriane.

Natura Beach Pool Villa 1 - Reviewed by Jeff from New Zealand in July 2013. The property was perfect for our desired "family holiday" where we had our two sons and daughter in laws with our four grandchildren. The accommodation and location was exactly what we were looking forward to. We have no control over the weather so even on the rainy days it had opinions with the large indoor outdoor covered decks. Communication with the owner could not have been better. Rating: 4.5
Owners response to this comment: We are so pleased you all had a great time at Natura Beach Villa. We wished you had more sunshine days to enjoy the stunning colours of Rarotonga and her turquoise lagoon. Keep in touch and see you all again, soon. Best wishes, Rohan & Adriane.

Natura Beach Pool Villa 1 - Reviewed by Victoria from Australia in February 2013. We travelled with a family group of 6 in February and couldnt have been happier with the property. It lived up to our fairly exactly standards. It is a big comfortable well furnished beach house sitting on pristine beachfront. It contains everything you need and is a short walk to Wigmores for everything else. Aircon was installed into 3 main bedrooms just before our arrival, which we didnt really need to use. Friendly, well mannered and beautiful natured dogs kept us company at all times. If you dont like dogs it could be an issue, though I suspect they wouldnt stay around if you didnt pet them. We will definately return to Natura and recommend it to anyone looking for a house to fit a family or 3 couples wanting a group holiday. Victoria, Sonja and Family. Rating: 5.0
Owners response to this comment: Thank you for your kind words about your recent stay at Natura Beach Villa. We are pleased to read that you had a great family vacation. We do hope to see you again, soon. Best wishes, Rohan.

Natura Beach Pool Villa 1 - Reviewed by Louise from New Zealand in September 2012. We thorougly enjoyed our time at the house. The location is great!
The water pressure in the shower upstairs was very weak especially when the downstairs shower was in use.
Clearer Instruction on the hot/water/solar set up would have helped and we had a few issues with our rubbish collection as they wouldn't collect bags with food scraps in them. The house could do with a couple of decent knives. Otherwise it was fantastic with beautiful gardens and the lagoon at the front of the house was awesome for swimming and snorkelling. Thank you Rohan and Sarina (and Sue) - we definately hope to be back before too long! Bradley, Roach, Judd and Perry clan. Rating: 4.4
Owners response to this comment: Thank you for staying with us. We have provided clearer notes on hot water / solar heating arrangements and have provided clearer instructions on food scraps. New knives have been purchased too. We hope to see you again, soon.

Natura Beach Pool Villa 1 - Reviewed by Murray from New Zealand in May 2012. We had a great stay and it is a great location towels and sheets gettinga bit tired and could do with some new sharp knives. Probably the only issue in the front bedroom is the road noise at night as there is no glass in the top sections of the windows. Plenty of room for families and beautiful beach. I would stay here again Rating: 4.4
Owners response to this comment: Thanks for your feedback. We have new sheets and towels on order. Will also get some new knives. The front bedroom air vents will be closed off when we install air conditioning units. Thanks again and we hope to see you stay again, soon. Best, Rohan.

Natura Beach Pool Villa 1 - Reviewed by Ian from New Zealand in April 2012. No broadband at the property although stated that it was on the advert. Rating: 4.2
Owners response to this comment: Thank you for staying with us. We rate our beach house at 4 stars. We have removed the in-house broadband as the wifi modem was damaged by previous tenants. Guests can now access 'pay-as-you-use' broadband called 'Zenbu' which is easily picked up on smartphones and laptops with wifi capability.

Natura Beach Pool Villa 1 - Reviewed by Alison from New Zealand in December 2011. Overall the experience was six star. The villa was very comfortable with a great indoor/outdoor flow located beside a wonderful beach with fantastic marine life. Rohan was very friendly and helpful; you couldn't ask for a better host (thanks for everything Rohan).
There were only a few small things to pass on for improvement, such as:
1. curtains on all the windows.
2. the fridge/freezer thermostat is playing up.
This was the best holiday we've had so thanks for everything. Rating: 4.8
Owners response to this comment: We're pleased to read you had a great holiday. Thank you for the notes. We will install curtains on all windows, and will have the thermostat checked up asap. Merry xmas and a happy new year. Best wishes, Rohan and Adriane.

Natura Beach Pool Villa 1 - Reviewed by Wendy from New Zealand in April 2011. A comfortable beach house on a wonderful part of the lagoon - it made for a very relaxing and extremely enjoyable family holiday. The gardens were beautiful and we loved the art.
The only things which could be improved on were the towels - a bit thin, and the way you had to walk through the laundry to get to the 2nd downstairs bedroom - it would be nice if there were sliding doors to screen the linen and laundry facilities off.
Rating: 4.3
Owners response to this comment: Thank you for your comments. Towels - we use hotel-commercial grade towels that are lighter in weight to facilitate a fast wash+dry - noting that Rarotonga is extremely humid and thick fluffy towels will absorb humidity moisture. Your comment on the walk-thru-laundry-to-bedroom2 is noted, we will look at installing a long curtain to cordon off the linen shelves.

Natura Beach Pool Villa 1 - Reviewed by Margaret from New Zealand in July 2011. We were delighted with the property it was perfect for a family holiday of 6 adults and three small children. The bedroom with the two single beds was rathersmall and cramped and had no curtain onthe window which could be a problem if you had ten adults. The proximity of the local store and places to eat was excellent though we did most of our own cooking. When the gax bottle ran out it was remedied by a phone call the the owner/manager. The only negative was that the bus driver forgot to pick us up for the return to the airport but this turned in to a positive as it meant we had an extra hour at the house rather than the airport which with preschoolers at midnight was a bonus.
A highly recommended property with the most amazing beach and excellent snorkelling topped off by perfect weather for the whole of our six day visit
Rating: 5.0
Owners response to this comment: Kia Orana, thank you for your kind words about your recent stay at Natura Beach Villa. I will have curtains put up on the large bay window with lagoon views in the loft where the two single beds are located. I am pleased to read that you enjoyed your stay. Best wishes, Rohan.
