The only problem we had, was that the bed was uncomfortable. Rex was very pleasant to deal with and even picked us up

Absolutely loved every minute of our stay! Rex and Lorraine were so lovely. Our little unit was great. Had use of the pool and kayaks. Location was great, walking distance to shops, Te Vara nui, Muri night markets, lagoon cruises and restaurants. Will def be back!

We had a great stay at Rex and Lorraine's cottage. They were really friendly and helpful, lovely people who we will re-visit. The fact that they collected us and dropped us back at the airport (at 6am on the return!) was really appreciated and saved the cost of a transfer. The courtyard is private and sunny and Sam the cat comes to visit too! It really is only a dozen steps from the gate to the lagoon, kayaks provided. There can be a bit of noise when the boys at the rugby club are practicing on the field right next door, with the ball sometimes hitting the roof or coming in to the garden. There was only only noisy night at the rugby club in the 10 days we were there, but it was over before midnight. Overall really nice people and great location, spacious, pool, bbq, plus good value for money, thanks guys.

Rex and Lorraine are the most amazing hosts. It is hard to put into words how welcoming and helpful they were.Keith and I feel privileged to have had the chance to meet and stay with them both. I spent more than my fair share of time in the beautiful pool and so enjoyed our Chats with them both. I would recommend this place to any couple going to Rarotonga and would stay again in a heart beat.The worst part about staying is having to say goodbye to Rex Lorraine and puss puss the cat and actually leave their little piece of paradise

Only problem was the sports club and club rooms are close by. Karaoke can go on till midnight. Take ear plugs if you want to sleep.
Very conveniently located in Muri many very good eating places in easy walking distance. Beach is very close about thirty paces across sports ground.
Property very quiet and private. You get to meet the locals when the rugby ball comes over the fence. We enjoyed all this.
Very roomy dwelling. We would stay again. Owners are great.

We chose this cottage because of its location and the great reviews written about the hosts. We were not disappointed!
Rex and Lorraine were great hosts and you would be hard pressed to find friendlier or more generous people.
Nothing was too much trouble , we were collected and dropped off for both our flights. We were also able to borrow their kayaks and snorkeling masks which was great as the beach was on the doorstep.
Rex and Lorraine gave us great advice about where to go and how best to enjoy the island away from the main tourist spots.
The cottage was comfortable, clean and well equipped.
We left Rarotonga feeling that we had made new friends and been made to feel very welcome.

We loved our stay at the Muri Breeze Garden Cottage and were very sad to leave to come home. Rex and Lorraine were extremely welcoming while still giving us our space. Rex picked us up and dropped us at the airport which made for a lot smoother arrival and departure.
The cottage was lovely and clean and we were offered new linen throughout our stay. We often swam in the pool which was cleaned each morning by Rex. The location was extremely close to the main hub of Muri and we could walk to the lagoon in a few steps.
We highly recommend staying with Rex and Lorraine and look forward to our return to Rarotonga.

We loved Lorraine and Rex. They were very accommodating through out the whole stay, from picking us up from the airport on arrival and dropping us off when departing.
The only problem that we had was that the cottage was advertised as peaceful and quiet.
We found the rugby club next door very loud with music and partying being played to 5am one morning getting not much sleep.
However I could not fault the hosts and the cottage. They were wonderful.

Warm, down to earth hosts, fantastic location, everything we needed in the cottage and more, plus the quirky Island extras that just added to our over-all experience. Muri Breeze Garden Cottage is just steps away from the beautiful Muri beach; right through the garden gate. It is an easy walk to the shops and restaurants in Muri beach village. The garden is private for soaking up the sun and there is a pool if you prefer to cool off there rather than the lagoon.
The cottage is clean, comfortable and spacious with everything you need for a relaxing beach holiday. The hosts, Rex and Lorraine, are sociable and helpful and full of local information to assist you in having the best holiday possible, which we did.

Rex and Lorraine were amazing hosts. We were picked up from the airport given leis ( which was a really lovely personal touch ) and taken to the supermarket so we could get supplies before supermarkets closed then after a wee run down on the area we were taken to pick up our rental car. At the end of our holiday we were dropped off back to the airport. They went out of their way to put another bed in the cottage for my daughter and left sarongs in the cottage for us to use. Although the pool wasn't private as it appeared to be in the pictures it definitely was at our disposal and we were able to use it privately. Rex and Lorraine live in the home in front of the cottage but were 100% discreet and allowed us to use the cottage and come and go without hindrance unlike some property owners. We were offered wonderful advice on local activities and markets. The only reason I dropped a point was because although the oven worked there were no oven trays or racks ( not that most people want to cook while on holiday ) and I am positive that if we had asked they would have found us some. At one stage our key jammed and after sending a message through Rex came home straight away to help access the cottage and instantly replaced the lock for us. All in all I would give Rex and Lorraine a 10/10 and recommend them and this property to anyone that wants a home away from home. Wonderful experience wonderful people and I am so glad we opted for a private home rather than a resort.

This property exceeded my expectations, I had a wonderful stay. If I go back to Rarotonga I would book here straight away. The owners are amazing and the property itself was brilliant, the beach is on your doorstep, it is a beautiful suntrap, so peaceful, and perfect for a relaxing time. The pool and the place itself was much better than the photos show. I loved my time here and would recommend to anyone wanting to go to Rarotonga. All I can say is thank you to the owners it is an amazing place.
