Mt Iron is a wonderfully appointed holiday home in Wanaka. It has a sunny outlook and whether you are here for a few days or staying for longer, Mt Iron is an extremely comfortable base for your holiday. It is very family friendly and spacious for a group of up to 9 guests

Mt Iron Homestead has been tastefully decorated with brand new high quality furnishings. The house is very warm with double glazing, gas fires, luxurious drapes and additional electrical heaters. The Homestead has a fully equipped kitchen and large dining/lounge area.

Mt Iron Homestead has 4 excellent sized bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (one bathroom is ensuited). All bedrooms have either double or walk-in wardrobes

Amazing outlook
Mt Iron Homestead has a terrific outlook toward the wonderful mountains of the Mt Aspiring National Park and surrounding hills of Wanaka. The lounge opens onto a fantastic patio area, with high quality outdoor furniture and a great BBQ. The house is a 15 minute walk or 3 minute drive to the Wanaka village centre with its shops, cafes and restaurants. Our quirky Cinema Paradiso is a 10 minute stroll and is a must do for movie buffs. Wanaka is very much a tourist hotspot and you will find the town amenities of the highest standard

Winter Skiing
Wanaka has 4 international standard ski resorts. Treble Cone and Cardrona are both only 25 minutes from Wanaka. We also have the Ski Park (a purpose built snowboard park) and Ski Farm a crosscountry ski farm. Wanaka is a favourite Australasian destination for skiing and boarding

Wanaka is the gateway to the Mount Aspiring National Park. With fabulous day walks and overnight hikes, and spectacular scenery. This inspiring desitination is in the heart of the Southern Alps and is a must stop for outoor lovers.

Wanaka boasts superb trout and salmon fishing especially during the summer months. We can assist with recommending fishing guides for lake, river, or raft fishing. Dryfly season here is exceptionally long and the scenery whilst fishing is outstanding.
