The property was unfortunately not available but the owner had an alternate venue available and although it was not to the same standard as Moana's Tropical retreat it was perfect for our family and in an awesome location in Muri.

It was very affordable and Moana was very kind and welcoming. Loved the fruit on arrival and also Moana gave us more bananas and passionfruit. It was what we expected, lots of space for two families. There was no hot water in the kitchen so had to use the jug to wash dishes. Moana did get us a new gas bottle for bbq when requested. It is defiantly an affordable home, roosters keep you up a lot. Lovely neighbour was very kind gave us donuts and let the kids she her piglets. We had a wondeful time, thank you.

Loved the stay. Beautiful owners with easy communication. Lovely property for big families travelling. Lovely yard and neighbours. Gardens were beautiful, such a pleasure staying here. I loved the early mornings sitting on the front verandah enjoying a nice coffee with lovely tropical garden views. Overall 10/10

The location was just really great..a nice walk to Muri.. close to shops , quiet and great for the kids.

Rooms
There are 5 bedrooms at Moanas Tropical Hideaway. 4 of the rooms have queen beds (1 of these is also en-suite) and the other 2 rooms are single beds,3 of the bedrooms are located on the ground floor, and the remaining 2 bedrooms are located on the top level, up just one flight of stairs. The upstairs room also has a private balcony facing south looking out over the luscious mountains. If you require any additional furnishings for children (e.g cots) please let us know.
We offer a 1 hour free tour to our scared Marae with traditional lunch.

In addition to the 5 bedrooms the house comprises of a welcoming front porch area, which is very spacious and great for relaxing with a book in the day or a cold drink in the evenings, a lounge area which has sofas, tables, TV and sound system, a large open plan kitchen with all you need (cutlery, crockery, oven, stove, microwave, sink, fridge/freezer), an inside dining area and also a back deck with BBQ, in addition to a large garden that wraps around the house, great for kids to run around and play in!

Other Facilities
Moanas Tropical Hideaway comes equipped with washing machine, ironing board, iron, clothes line and hairdryer for convenience during your stay, free toiletries. There is also WIFI available throughout the house which is available to purchase from any of the local Telecom shops, telephone available at the house which allows you to call landlines and mobiles.

Location
Located just off the main road, Moanas Tropical Hideaway sits in a lovely large area of land with plenty of outdoor and indoor space, providing comfort, peace & safety during your stay. Situated in the town of Turangi, Moanas Tropical Hideaway lies on the south east side on Rarotonga, just a short stroll to the beach and local convenience store, a 10minute walk or a minute's drive from the popular spot of Muri Lagoon, which has plenty of resorts, restaurants and shops as well as activities such as scuba diving, kite boarding, snorkelling, kayaking, stand up paddleboarding, yoga, zumba, local Saturday rugby matches and much more! The main town of Avarua is a 10min drive away, and the airport about a 20min drive. On an island 32km around, nothing is too far away!
