Fabulous property. Excellent and prompt service on the first day whjen we encountered a minor maintenance problem. The owner's cleaning lady came out after hours to fix the problem which I thought was well above the service response we would have expected. Well done.

We all loved the house .... 1 very small thing - garage door remote was not in the keylock outside - we finally found it by the laptop in the kitchen ( and left it in same place)... we all hope to return as soon as we can....

The only adverse comment is that we were given the wrong code for the lock-up boxes for the keys - it was easily fixed. Apart from that, it was superb, spacious accommodation with ample amenities, quality fixtures and fittings and, best of all, the most wondrous views of Lake Wakatipu and The Remarkables. A very special place - we loved every moment there!

All of our group [4 couples] were extremely happy with the house.Everyone had there our privacy if they wished or could mix with the group in the wonderful living areas. The perfect place to stay in beautiful Queenstown

the advetisement photos for the property do not in fact show the reality in that the reality far exceeded our expectations. a fabulous location with absolute stunning views. laptop with internet connection supplied was a real bonus. Vikki the manager was very friendly and helpful and assisted us well at all times when we contacted her and she came and welcomed us on the first morning which was nice. we would highly recommend the property and would definately try and rent it again if we return to Queenstown.

TV was situated too high; perhaps it could be angled down.
Cooking pots a bit shonky.
Had to use coffee percolator from downstairs apartment as there wasn't one upstairs.
These are small points, as overall the comfort, ammenity and views were outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Property Description
Matakauri Place is a spacious home spread over three levels. Each of the four luxury double bedrooms is beautifully appointed, enjoying its own ensuite, ipod docking station and flat screen television. The master bedroom is the inner sanctum of this sanctuary, with a spacious lounge and oversized Jacuzzi to ensure you can really escape from it all.
The open-plan living area stretches across the entire second floor with a wall of glass separating your snug world from the breathtaking scenery beyond. An edifice of local schist stone houses the large open fireplace, leather lounges before it under high ceilings. The kitchen enjoys first class appliances, walk-in-pantry, Nespresso machine and wine cooling cabinet. The granite toped island bench is guaranteed to be a gathering place to share your day’s adventures on the ski slopes. If you’re feeling more formal, there’s a dining table for eight in front of a second open fireplace.
Naturally, you’ll expect multiple outdoor entertaining areas. Two separate outside decks let you enjoy those long summer evenings that go on seemingly forever, the Remarkables so close, you can almost touch them. And should outdoor cooking be your raison d’etre for the day, there’s a sun soaked courtyard providing seating for eight, with built-in BBQ and an outdoor fireplace that is primed and awaiting you.

Our concierge will ensure that Matakauri is meticulously prepared for your arrival to your specific requirements. If the weather suggests, the open fire will be burning as the Pinot Noir, for which this region is famous, breathes.
After being met on site by our concierge, you will be given a tour of Matakauri to ensure you’re as familiar and comfortable with it as you would your own home. And throughout your stay, our concierge is on call. Whether you’d rather a chef work the kitchen for that sumptuous stay-in meal; a spot of shopping ordered; the maid service booked; an in-house measure up for ski hire organised; airport transfers priced; and restaurant bookings coordinated, it’s all just a phone call away.
