We were very happy with this apartment, It is alot bigger than we expected, the view is magic, the bed was good qaulity and comfy, owner very helpful. Though the apartment is directly below the main matakauri house it is still very private.

Loved the apartment. There was a mix up and our room hadnt been cleaned but the owner was really helpful when we rang and onto it straight away. The views from the apartment are amazing!!!!! Well worth the money

Matakauri Apartment makes you question why anyone would ever want to stay in a hotel; it also has you asking if calling it an ‘apartment’ is unintentionally misleading. More house than apartment, it shares its walls with no one and is accessed via its own dedicated entrance. The views enjoyed from the fully equipped kitchen, lounge and oversized master bedroom are arguably Queenstown’s best. Finely appointed, including a spa bath, the apartment spills directly onto a spacious lawn, garden, private deck and BBQ area. Dependent on the season, your biggest challenge may be dragging yourself off the banana lounge and away from the lavender bed and blossom tree.
There is a king sized bed and fold out sofa bed, providing comfortable accommodation for up to four.

Our concierge will ensure that Matakauri is meticulously prepared for your arrival to your specific requirements.
After being met on site by our concierge, you will be given a tour of Matakauri to ensure you’re as familiar and comfortable with it as you would your own home. And throughout your stay, our concierge is on call. Whether you’d rather a chef work the kitchen for that sumptuous stay-in meal; a spot of shopping ordered; the maid service booked; an in-house measure up for ski hire organised; airport transfers priced; and restaurant bookings coordinated, it’s all just a phone call away.
Our concierge is able to arrange the services of a boutique hotel, within the privacy of a luxury apartment.
