With easy access to 5km of interpreted walking tracks through rainforest, to a hidden waterfall or a mountaintop, you will not miss internet or television here. Your cabin is comfortably catered for with gas cooking facilities, fresh rainwater, solar powered lights*, an eco-friendly composting toilet, a cosy wood heater and a private outdoor bath. The Huon Valley is home to cool-climate vineyards and is famous for it’s apple-growing heritage. Discover high quality local produce with an innovative and seasonal Huon Food Trail itinerary. Visit local art galleries on the Huon Trail and enjoy a lazy two-course lunch at Home Hill winery. Breakfast hampers are available by prior arrangement. *Huon Bush Retreats offers a true retreat; access is via 4km winding gravel road with a steep 500-meter section. Electricity is 12-volt solar power: phones and cameras can be charged at reception. A c.d. player and radio is provided, accommodation is TV. free.

Teepee Facilities

Timber and canvas construction, each nestled in the forest offering easy access, privacy and spectacular views of old growth forest. Teepees share the campground facilities including showers, toilets, outdoor bath and camp kitchen with gas cooking facilities, pots and pans, barbeque, tables etc. Ideally suited for couples teepees are equipped with a double sofa bed.
