Our villa history
Green Villa was once a small hotel. It was built by a European but with Balinese feelings. Lots of teak, lots of carvings.
We have renovated and decorated Green Villa and are open for business again.
Safe and secure behind tall solid fences, we are offering a relaxing, luxury holiday at a budget price.

Our villa grounds
Green Villa has been renovated and decorated to Australian standards. Everything works! We have replumbed, rewired, painted, roofed, new garden...everything.
Starting with the pool at the rear, we have pool lounges to complement the bale. Floaty voiles give privacy and roll down awnings completely seal it off.
The garden has been rewired and there is plenty of lighting options for mood lighting at night. And safety.
The gardens are meticulously kept and there are Balinese temples and 2 fish ponds.
A covered patio at the rear entrance to the house is furnished with a fantastic cane lounger and table and chairs for casual dining.
The kitchen is a house of its own. Fully fitted with everything a cook could need plus a casual/breakfast dining room and a 3rd bathroom.
The area between the main house and kitchen is the entry for motor bikes and is one of the entry to the villa.

Ground floor
The ground floor of the villa has the lounge, dining, office area, small bedroom and a bathroom.
The lounge seats 5 people on a newly upholstered couch. A real couch that is comfy and perfect for a lie down. The flat screen tv has cable and adapters to plug in your lap top. WiFi is here too.
The dining table seats 6.
The office area has adapters for charging your appliances plus a colour printer.
Adjacent is the bathroom and the lovely 3rd bedroom (this is an added cost above the maximum 4 guests).
Huge timber doors open on to the covered garden porch. A big rattan lounge is perfect for reading, snoozing or simply enjoying the garden and hills. Afternoon drinks are a must and there is a table and chairs for casual dining.

Upper floor
Up the huge timber staircase is the 2 main bedrooms. Both have aircon, ceiling fans, blockout blinds and floaty voiles.
There are smart bedside lamps on the side tables.
All bed linen is 100% cotton. We have mattress protectors as well as pillow protectors.
Each room has its own private balcony. You can lock the hallway doors at each end and then safely open your balcony door at night and enjoy the night breezes for sleeping.
There is a shared bathroom with a full sized bath. We have lovely cotton towels, shampoo and body wash.

Safety and security
Green Villa is set within tall solid walls. The kitchen gate is double locked and with a safety chain.
The large garden gates are secured with a padlock.
The villa is located in a local village off the Damai Road. We overlook the local ceremony temple and every 6 months they hold their celebrations. You are welcome to view.
All in all, the villa is in a quiet family village and security is not an issue.
However, we ask that you take care of your possessions and don't tempt fate. Always lock the gates when you are home or away.

What to do in Lovina
Step back 20 years in Bali and visit Lovina.
The pace is slower, the traffic is quiet. The people are friendly and helpful.
Each morning the boats head out to watch the dolphins. We have a great guide who never let's us down.
Lovina is the gateway to Bali's waterfalls. The closest is Ailing Aling, 15 minutes away. Nearby is beautiful Shanti resort, a great place for lunch to enjoy the views and the gardens.
A drive home from the 3 tiered waterfalls through the back roads completes a great day out.
We are lucky to have the headquarters of Banyuatis Coffee on the Singaraja road. Call in for a great, cheap coffee and ask Vitri for a tour of the factory.
Further in to Singaraja is the UK at factory. See how they hand paint and weave the traditional cloth. The presidents of Indonesia buy their shirt fabrics from here.
In the centre of Singaraja is the traditional market. Enjoy the different market products.
Around the corner is the ancient Chinese temple at the warfside.
There is a nightly market in Singaraja that offers cheap shopping, local foods and entertainment. Go early at 5.00 as it gets busy.
Back in Lovina there are plenty of local warung to eat cheaply at. And great food. At International level is The Lovina and the Spice Club. Watch the sun set on the beach with pre dinner drinks. Free drives home to the villa are offered.

Our location
Green Villa is just off the Damai Road.
We are 400m up from the traffic lights.
On the other side another 400m takes you to the beach.
Just around the corner from us is Budha Bakery. Wonderful breads and pastries are baked there daily. Upstairs is a fantastic restaurant.
Across the main road from us is the Jimmy Hendrix School of Dance. Local children perform traditional dances to raise money for their schooling. Lasting 1 hour, the event is full of laughter. You won't see this at tourist dance tours. Please give generously.
Green Villa is centrally located and only a quick, pleasant walk to the hub of Lovina
