Area
The vacation villa Casa Vista Azul is located on the Brazilian peninsula Búzios; 100 miles north east of the city of Rio de Janeiro.
Along with five other houses Casa Vista Azul is placed on a spacious lot of more than 100,000 square feet in the condominium called ”Mar Aberto” which in Portuguese can be translated to “The Open Sea”. In the condominium the owners share the 24/7 guard service and the maintenance of the pool and garden.
The area has a very undisturbed location on top of the slanting hill with the magnificent panoramic view of the ocean and mountains present from any corner.
Casa Vista Azul is located very close to the center of the beautiful town Amarção dos Búzios offering a splendid selection of shops of restaurants.
From the house there is only about half a mile to the famous sandy and child friendly beaches Praia do João Fernandez and Praia do Fernandinho.

Things to do
In Búzios you can spoil all your senses with a magnitude of experiences.
The attraction of course; is the beaches and beautiful nature which continuously will make your stay in Casa Vista Azul a unique experience.
If you prefer an active vacation there are a variety of options to explore; like surfing, scuba diving, horse back riding and golf.
Finally there are cozy town just down the hill from the house, the much larger Cabo Frio and of course the metropolis Rio de Janeiro.
I other words there aren o need to get bored during your stay in Casa Vista Azul.

Living Room
A lot has been done in the architect designed vacation villa Casa Vista Azul; in order to achieve a combination of the beautiful historic background with the modern facilities of today.
The spacious, tall ceiling room with the chilling ceiling fans is an ideal oasis in which to seek shelter from midday sun.
From here view of the mountains and ocean can be enjoyed in total privacy as there is no other buildings close by.
The living room is decorated in Brazilian style with hardwood interior that is reminiscent for the country’s architecture.
The rustic charm of the handmade furniture is combined with modern facilities – such as 33” satellite TV, DVD player and stereo.
Here you will find charm and personality and you can only surrender to total relaxation in these lovely surroundings.

Suites
Any lovely day in Casa Vista Azul begins and ends in one of the villas four wonderful suites. They have room for nine sleeping guests who all can open their eyes and look directly at the ocean and the mountains across the bay – actually without lifting their heads from the pillows.
The suites are decorated with cozy dark furniture which is elegantly contrasted by the light curtains and linen. Every suite has its own bath room and wardrobe, and with air conditioning in each suite; even hot days becomes tempered nights.
Suite 1: Is located in the top villa. It has a queen bed and a bath room where you can enjoy the ocean view from the bath tub.
Suite 2: This suite has a lovely queen bed and a private balcony with ocean and bay view. It also has an extra single bed which makes the suite ideal for family with children. The villa also has a portable playpen for the little ones.
Suite 3: The suite is build into the hill and is placed lower in the house. It has queen bed and a swing door wardrobe. Like the suite itself; the dedicated bathroom has wonderful ocean view.
Suite 4: The largest of the suites also has ocean view. It has two single beds and a bathroom with ocean view. It is found in the lowest part of the villa.

Pool
Right next to the house you will find the pool, surrounded by a huge deck. The pool is shared by the six villas in the condominium.
From the recliner you almost feel like you are on the bridge of a large ship with the panoramic view towards the ocean, mountains, Búzios town center and the exotic nature.
In the pool area you can balance your comfort with a nice chilled drink while the sun is warming your body. The area also has a shallow pool where the little ones can safely play.

Surroundings
Búzios is a much preferred resort of celebrities from all over the world and is frequented by musicians, actors and sports stars.
The reason is simple: Not many places in the world can you find a more beautiful spot that also has so much to offer.
The town center has a special vibe and simply adores with the small but stylish and well maintained buildings, superb shopping and international class restaurants and night life.
The main attraction however has to be the climate along with the crystal clear water, tropical beaches and any type off water sport you possibly desire.

The peninsula Búzios
Búzios is a Brazilian peninsula that stretches four miles into the Atlantic Ocean. Along the coast line you will find more than 20 beautiful and yet very different beaches offering perfect relaxation as well as the opportunity to enjoy a variety of wind-based sports.
You can also experience the green volcanic hills that overlooking the beautiful exotic unspoiled nature and the many different beaches.
Originally Búzios was a small fishing town founded in 1740. Not until a couple of hundred years later the placed received international attention initiated by a European.
This European was the famous actress Brigitte Bardot, who visited Búzios with her Brazilian boyfriend at the time in 1974, and with a single stroke made the attractive resort internationally known.
Today the peninsula has around 25,000 inhabitants of more than 40 different nationalities. In the high season however, Búzios will accommodate almost half a million people.

Beaches
The peninsula Búzios is surrounded by more than 20 different beaches; each with their own individual treat, just waiting to be explored.
The southern beaches are usually a little harder to get to but in return they often offer much more undisturbed privacy. The beaches on the northern part of the peninsula are closer to the town Armação dos Búzios and are much more frequented for the same reason.
The thermal winds also allow for a windsurfing paradise with practical wind certainty, but what is even more popular in Búzios is now kite surfing but also real surfing is popular because of the waves.
Two of the beaches that are acknowledged as the best in Búzios are located almost right in front of Casa Vista Azul. These are the beaches João Fernandes and João Fernandinho. Here you swim in the crystal clear water, snorkel or just daze the day away in the sun.
The sandy beaches are very child friendly and while relaxing in the sand you will often be accompanied by some beautiful old ships in the bay.
The beaches also have excellent little restaurants i.e. offering a variety of sea food.

Towns
The only town on the Búzios itself carries the same name as the peninsula. Originally its name was Armação dos Búzios, which means conch. It was given the name by a fortune teller who conches to predict the future.
Armação dos Búzios is a very charming town and it is a wonderful experience to walk the stone paved streets while gazing at art work and fashion in the small boutiques of all categories prize ranges.
The closest larger town is Cabo Frio of approximately 500,000 inhabitants which is located some 25 miles from Búzios.
100 miles south west along the coast you will find the metropolis Rio de Janeiro; famed for its annual carnival in February with non stop samba, parades and partying. However, the carnival in Búzios is also a major attraction.
From Búzios there are several modern air conditioned busses leaving for Rio de Janeiro every day.

Food and drinks
The main strip is Rua das Pedras which is a charming and stylish street.
Here you will find the most restaurants but there are also plenty of restaurants and bars with ocean front location along Bardot Beach Front; the section that connects Rua das Pedras with Ossos Beach. It was here the exclusive resort had its origin.
It is impossible to mention all the excellent restaurants in Búzios. You will find French, Italian, Moroccan, Thai and of course the traditional Brazilian Gourmet a Kilo where you pick whatever you desire, have the chef cook it to perfection, and pay by the weight of your plate.
Don’t miss the opportunity to dine at the famous David’s where you first of all should consider a sea food meal.
You might notice that Búzios has more elegant places to dine but the food is so exquisite that you will often need to reserve a table even off season.

Sightseeing
A variety of tours take off from Búzios every day.
Obviously many of them are some way or the other related to water. In the crystal clear ocean surrounding the peninsula you can go whale watching, dolphin watching or go on dedicated sea turtle tours.
You will also find rich opportunities for practicing eco tourism.
One of the best scuba diving tours heads out to the little island Ancora – about 40 minutes off shore – where you can encounter lobsters, barracudas, giant manta rays and even green turtles.
In down town Búzios you will also find several agencies that arrange everything from Amazon jungle tours to Rio de Janeiro city tours and many others.

Sports
You can endure almost any imaginable type of water sport on selection of diverse beaches surrounding the peninsula, Búzios.
The crystal clear water is ideal for snorkeling and scuba diving and many scuba tours heads out from the town center every day.
The thermal wind makes Búzios a wind surfing paradise with practical wind surfing certainty.
But becoming even more popular in Búzios is now kite surfing. Rasa beach has a huge windy area of very shallow water that is any kite surfers dream. Of course you can also learn how to kite surf.
The beach of Geribá offers surfer waves and several surf schools can be found in the area.
You can also go fishing, sailing or kayaking or pretty much any other water sport you can think of. Maybe except ice skating!
Búzios has a marvellous 18 holes Pete and Perry Dye designed championship golf course.
If you prefer to stay on land you can go horse back riding, trekking or mountain biking in the beautiful rolling hills. Or how about renting a beach buggy?
