We had an amazing time at Anchor's Rest. Mark is lovely and happy to help with anything you need. The house is great for a large group and has everything you need to enjoy the outdoors. We will definitely come back and have recommended it to our friends that, after staying at an expensive resort down the road, would actually prefer to get better value for money by hiring this home. Thanks Mark and family for everything, it was definitely everything that was promised and more.

Welcome to Anchors Rest

Your host’s Mareko and Peter are to make your stay a memorable one. Mareko is a local boy and Peter is from Australia. During you stay if there is anything that we can do to assist you we are only a phone call away. 5mins by car to town / market / airport – 25mins by bus • 20mins to Muri Beach - • Bus stop 100 metres up the road • Corner shop 3 minute walk A 2 minute walk along the white sandy beach is the Shipwreck Bar. This is located at Aroa’s Beachside Inn. This is a great way to relax while sipping cocktails at sunset - cocktails only $10 The local corner store is Tex’s Mart and is open from 7am to 9pm Monday to Saturday and 7-9am and 4pm-9pm on Sunday’s. Another small supermarket is the Rite Price store in Arorangi (opp Crown Beach Resort). Call Clem on 26 800 and they will be able to assist you and delivery can be arranged. Opening hours are Sunday – Tuesday 7am-7pm, Wednesday & Thursday 7am-8pm, Friday & Saturday 7am-9pm
